Deeply moved by Maiko (April 25th, 2017)
We finished our 3rd Enchanted Time with Maiko Main Tour, with 4groups of participants, 9people in total, all the way from the US, Thailand, Australia and Japan.
Today a Maiko named Kikusana(菊咲奈)visited us.
She grew up in the Okiya 置屋(おきや) in Kyoto, that’s why she has feels more dignified.
| Heart touching dance
Every week, I feel like the air surrounding is stopped when the Maiko is dancing. We all look at her carefully. Maiko’s dance makes us feel overwhelmed even though we don’t understand the contents of the song.
| Don’t be shy
At first it may be ashamed to participate in the game. This is called ‘Konpira Fune Fune’, Everyone can join the game because the rules are easy and the guide explains the rule very kindly. When we win the game against Maiko we can get a souvenir;-)
| Let’s play Toratora!
This is called ‘TORATORA’ Start with singing and dancing simultneously with Maiko! The games were amazingly fun and easy to understand, even if you don’t speak Japanese!!!
|Talk and Relax
After dancing, Maiko would come to each table!
Two nice American customer who came to Tokyo for work from in the US and are visiting in Kyoto around 1week! They seemed interested in Maiko’s life. We were so grateful that they were deeply moved during this tour.
We also feel deeply rewarded when the guests were enjoying this time and when they told us new opinions and impressions.
